Betty:

We are so sorry for your loss.  Our lives are richer for having known Lee.  He was truely a one of a kind.  We will for ever have a spot in our hearts for the two of you.

Don:  My condolences upon the loss of your Dad.  Even though we're in the business it does not make the loss of our loved one any easier.  You and your family are in my thoughts.

We have sent a memorial gift to The Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman, North Carolina to help provide summer camp to children with health care needs to honor Sturg's love for children and for camping.
We have many memories from his long career on the Decatur Fire Department and the work he did as a member of IAFF Local 505.  He will be missed.

William Bowman Mr. March 12, 2010

Who could ever forget Lee? A good man with a drive to get whatever he was doing done! He will be missed!

Curt Johnson Retired Decatur Police March 12, 2010
I always enjoyed stopping at the firehouse where ever Lee was.  He was always laughing and telling stories.  I took my two children into the firehouse often on my days off so they could see what the firemen had, which was always better then what the police had.  I am proud to say my son is now a firefighter in Ottawa, Il.  I give thanks to the firefighters like Lee who would show my kids what a firefighter was all about.  Those memories will last forever.  Our prayers will be with you all.
Larry Hebenstreit Childhood Friend At St. Thomas March 12, 2010
